She moves away from me yelling at the top of her lungs, “Stay the fuck away from me! You are the reason I have been having nightmares for the past week. Between you and your sister I don’t know who is worse. Even going to the store I had to defend her against your crazy ex-girlfriend and her friend. I used to be safe when my grandmother was alive and now that she’s gone, my life is in shambles. This is just too much and I don’t know how much more of this I can take.” She scream as she stood up. Her eyes were another shade, blocking the pretty hazel color that I fell in love with from the moment I first laid eyes on her.
“Look love, do you want me to take you to school or not? I wouldn’t want you to disappoint your grandmother either. I promise I will take you straight to school and that’s it.” I offer while reaching out my hand.
She looks at me, then brought her eyes down to my hand before placing her hand in mine. “Okay, let’s go.” I gave her a reassuring smile, revealing my perfect white teeth.
She didn’t smile back. Instead her tears continue to flow. Damn, walking her out the building I vow to myself right then and there that no nigga, not even me, was going to ever make her cry again. I let her step out first and led her over to my car before closing the door, and heading back over towards Max who I notice was still lingering around the building.
“You want to rape a motherfucker, huh? You don’t understand no means no nigga? You want to make my chick cry? I’m going to give you a fair warning right now. If you ever lay your grimy paws on her again I will fucking kill your ass, you understand? This friendship between you and me is over, so let’s see how you do out on your own. Just remember what I say because there won’t be no talking next time. It will just be lights out motherfucker.”
I felt that I gave that nigga a nice warning, so it was up to him to either heed my warning or continue to act the fool. Heaven forbid if he chose to try and play God on my life. I was already helping out Phil’s mom with some of her bills due to her son’s murder, and I wouldn’t hesitate to help out Max’s mom in the same way.
These niggas needs to know who and who not to fuck with. But as long as I had been in charge of these streets, you would think they’d know this shit already. If they didn’t know before now, they should have asked somebody. It would have definitely saved them a whole lot of pain and Phil might have still been alive.
Walking back over to the car, I opened the door and got inside. I quickly glance at Eternity before closing the door.
